Throwing the fly over a Denali Kakadu II tent on Mount Buffalo with a storm coming in

Camping and 4WD brands

Gear films from the track

Camping and 4WD video and photography from real trips in the Victorian High Country.

Bought for a trip. The film should look like the trip.

OAA Media makes camping product photography and 4WD brand video from real trips, based in the Victorian High Country and filming off road across Australia. A swag, a tent, a fridge or a set of recovery boards is bought for a trip. The film should look like the trip. Mud on the sidewall, frost on the fly, dinner cooking with the sun going down behind the ridge.

How it runs

  1. 01

    The trip is the shoot

We plan a real trip with real stops. The product gets used the way a customer would use it, and the footage comes from that.

  2. 02

    Light and access

Alpine light is short and tracks close. We book the window that gives the best chance of the shot and carry a second location in case.

  3. 03

    Everything from one trip

A hero film, product cuts, reels and a stills library, all from the same days out, so the launch has everything it needs.

Straight answers

Can you film our product fitted to a vehicle on the track?

Yes. Most of our 4WD work is a vehicle on a real track with the product fitted and working. We plan the route around the shots and the conditions.

Do we need to supply the vehicle and the people?

Usually you supply the product and we sort the rest, or we shoot with your vehicle and your people if the brand has a face. Either way it is planned before the trip, not on the day.

Can you shoot a camping product launch in one trip?

That is the usual shape. A two or three day trip comes back with a hero film, setup and pack down clips, product close ups, lifestyle stills and reels.

Is aerial worth it for camping and 4WD content?

For this work it earns its place more than anywhere. Scale, the track winding through the trees, the campsite from above at dusk. We fly it as part of the shoot, not as an add on.
